HINTERWELT in silico = transcendent world in computer

With a classical European culture, Renaud Gabriel Pion develops a world of modern creation, born of the confrontation with traditional music, Anglo-Saxon rock, primitive music, and improvisation. He studied composition in Paris and the modal music of the East (Turkey, Iran, India), as well as Baroque and non-tempered music, which are partly constitutive of his instrumental gesture. As an instrumentalist he develops a language which for him could compare to calligraphy.

Renaud Gabriel Pion is a composer and improvisational musician who divides his time between Paris and Berlin. Classically trained but also largely self-taught, he plays augmented instruments (bass & contrabass clarinets, Turkish clarinet, saxophones, bass flute, English horn, e.w.i and piano, using real-time electronics).
